Dicomm wins the Stanbic Bank advertising account

Victory is always sweet, it brings so much joy that cannot be easily described. This is the kind of feeling that we all have as Dicomm just after signing an advertising contract with Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe which is a member of the Standard Bank group.

How did we get to this point? We believe that Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe has been on the market, looking for companies with fresh ideas and Dicomm was on the list of invited entities. We got a brief to execute a certain project and as usual, we believe that success will not only happen when you’re in the boardroom to present the work to client. It starts from understanding the brand’s target customers, pain points and aspirations amongst various other factors and finding the human truth to address the customers problem. In the process of coming up with the creative campaign, we then find that “creative leap” in this world that Tom Peters describes as being characterized by a “sea of similarities.”

On the pitch day we had the usual suspects at the presentation. In our view, the presentation went on extremely well, we could feel some connection with client which stemmed from answering the brief to the tee. Somehow, we felt sorry for the others that would present after us because we were certain that we had set the bar so high.

When the news that we had been selected to be added as one of Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe’s Ad agencies, we were thrilled and looked forward to adding value on this brand.
