Fun was had at the European Union Day celebrations held on the 12th of May in commemoration of the birth of the EU on the 9th of May. As always, it is an honor for everyone at Dicomm McCann to be the primary organizer for an event of such magnitude.
After months of rigorous planning and executing to the tee, the event had a huge turn- out with people of note including the Guest of Honour- Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Frederick Shava, EU Ambassador H.E. Jobst Von Kirchmann, Ambassadors from different countries, and European Union Member states who gave a taste of their various countries at the food market.
Amara Brown gave an electric performance while the Dzikwa Trust choir was stellar in their performance. The event was the-e-e-place to be as social media was abuzz with posts of people who attended the event.
Europe Day celebrates Europe’s achievements and unity, commemorating the Schuman Declaration signing on 9 May 1950. This is a big day to celebrate peace and unity throughout Europe. It aims to revitalize the European dream and re-invigorate European integration.
As Dicomm McCann this one was a big day for us as we once again showed our capabilities to the world and helped the European Union play a meaningful role in people’s lives.
